THE SUPER SABRE SOCIETY NEEDS YOU!

Help keep the legacy of “The Hun” alive

Contrary to what aviation historians might tell you, the F-100 Super Sabre was the go-to USAF fighter during the Cold War.  During that time Hun pilots were  not picky about the missions they flew.  From nuke alert to CASF deployments; Close Air Support in 'Nam and Fast Fac along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, to Wild Weasel over North Vietnam; they flew them all---and did so with supreme confidence that the Hun would not let them down.

But time is running out for the Hun, as it is for the men who flew her.  There are very few F-100s flying these days, and those who flew her are "flying west" in alarming numbers.  Someday there will be no one left to tell their story, and we can't let that happen---not any time soon anyway!  We need a presence at museums and static displays,  a system for collecting memorabilias so they don't fall into the hands of Ebay.  All this costs money, something we don't have a lot of.  If you are a former Hun driver, you can help by joining the Super Sabre Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the legend of the F-100.  The annual dues are just $25 ---the cost of dinner for one with drinks in most good restaurants these days.  How can you lose?  For more information about the SSS please visit www.supersabresociety.com .
